ABC's of Salvation....

Jesus started His earthly ministry as recorded in John 4:17 with these words; "From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."  You will also find in Acts 2:38, Acts 17:30, Matthew 3:2 and Luke 13:3 all speak to repentance.

Receiving Jesus as savior isn't the first and only step toward salvation as we're often told, but as it is written in the bible, we must forsake our sin, put it aside and trust in Jesus finished work on the cross and His sacrifice for us. Knowing that He did this for us should be reason enough to put aside the things that God hates and Jesus died for. When He breathed His last breath, He said "It Is Finished" There is nothing you can add and we can never be good enough to enter Heaven. Ephesians 2: 8,9.

There is no set prayer for salvation, read Luke 23:39-43, and see for yourself, that a repentant heart is needed first to receive the free gift of eternal life in Christ Jesus!

Your prayer to God needs only be personal and spoken in your own way. Talk to Him, He wants to be your Heavenly Father.

Don't wait, there is no promise of tomorrow! Salvation isn't just saying a prayer, but you must believe in your heart that Jesus died and rose again and paid the sin penalty for you and me!

Admit you are a sinner in need of a savior.  JOHN 19:30 KJV "When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost."  - Nothing else is needed, Jesus sacrifice was perfect and we could never work or be good enough to earn salvation. (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Believe in the finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross alone for the remission of all your sins (past, present and future) and eternal life!

Call on the name of the Lord. ("All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:13)

Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but through me." (John 14:6)

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  (Romans 10:9-10)

"For it is by grace you are saved through faith. It is not your own doing. It is the FREE gift of God. Not by works lest any man boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
